Located at latitude 45‹ 11' 2" N and longitude 141‹ 8' 2" E, Kutsugata Port was designated as a local port in 1950. At present, the port plays an important role on Rishiri Island as a vessel shelter port, disaster prevention port and anchorage site for domestic cruise ships.
